What’s a “Third Place”—and Why We Want to Be Yours
You’ve probably heard the term before—third place—but maybe you’re not quite sure what it means, or maybe you’ve never heard the term. No worries! It’s a simple idea with a lot of heart.
A third place is somewhere that’s not home (your first place) and not work (your second place)—it’s that other space where you feel welcome, connected, and inspired. A favorite coffee shop. A cozy bookstore. A local artist collective where you run into friends and find something handmade that speaks to you. It’s the kind of place that makes a community feel like home.
At Treasure Valley Artisans, that’s exactly what we hope to be.
We’re more than just a store (though we do have some incredible local art and handmade goods). We’re a space for connection. A place to slow down, chat with an artist, sign up for a class, or just soak in some creativity. We believe art has the power to connect people—and our goal is to create a space where that happens every day.
You’ll find:
Local artists featured in the shop—we love showing off the talent in our community.
Workshops and hands-on classes—a chance to try something new or build your skills.
Open studio hours (coming soon!)—a welcoming space where anyone can come create. Expected opening fall of 2025, follow us on Instagram for the latest updates.
So whether you’re an artist, an art-lover, or just someone who wants to be around creative energy, we hope you’ll stop by. Come hang out, say hi, make something, or simply be part of a community that values connection, creativity, and craft.
